WTF is EFF?
The Electronic Frontier Foundation (EFF) has been around for years, if this is your first time hearing about them I’m honored to introduce them to you because everyone should know about there international 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to us, the users of the internet of things.
The EFF was founded in July 10th, 1990.
by John Gilmore, John Perry Barlow and Mitch Kapor to promote Internet civil liberties.

First of all, do you even know what your default browser is even based on; Gecko, Webkit, or Blink?
Gecko
The “OG”; Gecko released in 1993 and it powered “Mosaic Netscape”; aka Netscape Navigator; if you’re young, you might not of heard of that browser—but I bet you may of heard of Secure Socket Layer (SSL) which is now Transport Layer Security (TLS) and incase you’re still lost, its the protocol responsible for web security, aka the green lock next to the search bar—developed by the company that initially used Gecko.
one thing to take away from the existence of netscape is that Brendan Eich was an employee for Netscape and is also the creator of Javascript; the language responsible for floating buttons and interactive webpages
